Random Tater Pic of the Day #211
Friend and podcast partner Ray Cornwall sent this one to me, and we even talked about it on this week's episode of The GAR! Podcast.
These Somebody Else's fries come from Jack & Mike's Brickhouse Bar & Grille in Brick, NJ. The meal was gluten-free, and apparently this was Ray's first encounter with potato wedges. He has got to start eating out with me more. Potato wedges are everywhere.

Random Tater Pics of the Day #203 and 204
These Somebody Else's Fries again come from my big sister Bobbie on a recent trip to the Hard Rock Café in Orlando, Florida. This first pic is from The Kitchen, a restaurant at the Hard Rock Hotel. From Bobbie, "The Kitchen's fries were shoestring, very crunchy and didn't need any salt at all, very good."
This second pic is from the Hard Rock Café proper. Bobbie said they "were regular fries, crispy on the outside, with a great seasoning. They were the best!"

Friend, fellow member of the South Jersey Writers Group, and occasional contributor to French Fry Diary, Mieke Zamora-Mackay sent this edition of Somebody Else's Fries to me from Ponzio's Diner. It's a burger called The Bundy, which comes topped with cheddar cheese, crispy onions and bacon, complemented with their honey BBQ sauce, and of course French fries on the side. Thanks, Mieke!

Today's Somebody Else's Fries comes from my big sister Bobbie who took this photo at a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. somewhere in the South. She described them as "skinny, crisp and tast(ing) like restaurant fries." Thanks, Bobbie!

Random Tater Pic of the Day #187
This Somebody Else's Fries image comes from friend and fellow South Jersey Writer, Mieke Zamora-Mackay. On the Facebook she had asked where to go for lunch, and of course many suggestions were made, including The Pop Shop and the British Chip Shop (not just from me), but she decided on The Pour House in Westmont. She got the shrimp tacos and potato chips, which she pronounced as divine. The Pour House is now definitely on my list.

These fries come from friend and FFD contributor Sarah H. Miduski. During her trip to New York City to see Matilda The Musical, she visited Lillie's and got these fabulous parmesan truffle fries. Mmmm… Thanks, Sarah! You can read her full blog entry on the trip here.

Today's Somebody Else's Fries come from Pete's Boiler Bites, a new addition on board the Disney Magic, during the TCM Cruise 2014. Mickey Mouse's arch-foe Pete served The Bride up a fish sandwich and some natural cut French fries for lunch on the third day of the cruise. You can tell they're The Bride's from the cheese. ;-)

Random Tater Pic of the Day #156
This Somebody Else's Fries edition comes from my big sister Ginny, on the Facebook.
She dined recently at the Connecticut Avenue Hilton in Washington DC. They brought these 'hand rubbed' fries to the table in this basket as a side to an excellent crab cake. That's a lemon in the yellow netting there, what my sister thought was a nice touch. Indeed, they know how to do it at the Hilton.
Thanks, Ginny!

Sarah Goes to Rehoboth Beach
This entry is part guest blog, part Somebody Else's Fries, and part Random Tater Pic of the day. Very cool blogger, fellow writer, FFD contributor, and friend Sarah Hawkins-Miduski recently visited Rehoboth Beach in Delaware.
Here is her blog entry about her trip and the delights she saw, including a cool fish and chips place, and the Dogfish Head Brewery with their amazing fries and bacon-stuffed onion rings. Enjoy!

Grindhouse Killer Burgers
Back in September, one of my favorite bloggers and writers, Liz Henry, a recent transplant from Philly to Atlanta, visited Grindhouse Killer Burgers and got these crinkle cut fries.
Liz says: "They have just a hint of Old Bay and, by far, the best fries we've had since we got here. Unlike Philly, not everywhere offers fries. Pizza places are, generally, pizza only and maybe salads. It's kinda killing me. Heh. The burger is the 'Yankee.'"
Wow. Who's up for an Atlanta roadtrip?
